Linda has 18 years experience within the field of autism and associated complex needs. She has worked directly with students, professionals and parents with the delivery of programmes that meet all the health, welfare and care needs of young people with asd.
4 yrs ago Linda was instrumental in the development of Cambian's first parent liaison officer role. Linda has successfully supported over 100 families through the assessment and admission process.
More recently Linda has become responsible for admissions across all Cambian provisions, developing a team of highly skilled liaison officers that advise professionals and parents alike.
Linda is currently developing international links with parents and professionals sharing knowledge and best practice within the field of ASD
Maggi Rigg established OAASIS (www.oaasis.co.uk) a nationally recognised information service for special needs. Her long experience of working with students with Asperger Syndrome has given her many personal insights, which will contribute to her presentation.
Maggi Rigg is employed by the Cambian Group and has until recently had oversight of the management of seven residential special schools for students with an ASD. She has worked in the field of autism for over 30 years and during this time has established four schools. She established Southlands School as the first residential school solely for students with Asperger Syndrome.
